I went to the VA yesterday. It's a very nice facility and the people I worked with were great. However, it was really strange, because it looked like everybody was wearing a piece of a uniform, a hat, a pair of pants, Shirt, boots, but just a piece and from about half a dozen eras. And just my opinion, too many crazy beards. Veterans don't need crazy beards!! Any way I have to go back later this month.

Personally, I find spending too much time thinking about Veterans' crazy beards disturbing.

ReplyDeleteI think I read somewhere that the crazy vet beard is a latter-day evolutionary adaptation to elicit human empathy, to frighten the young with their own mortality, and to serve as a warning to monkeys not to mess with our kind.
